How to use virgin coconut oil
Despite its name, Coconoil usually appears in its solid state in the UK, liquefying at between 18° and 24° C. It does not need refrigeration and can be stored in the kitchen cupboard or bathroom cabinet — wherever it’s most convenient
Solid coconut oil uis referred to as coconut butter.
If you want to use Coconoil as a liquid you can either:
- Store it somewhere warm — for example in the airing cupboard or near the boiler
- Spoon some of the solid oil into a dish and sit it in some hot water to melt. We don’t recommend microwaving Coconoil as it degrades the health properties
